Petrol up, diesel and kerosene down
May has brought good and bad news for motorists and users of fuel. The price of petrol has risen while diesel and kerosene prices have fallen.
According to the Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Finance, Fiame Naomi Mataafa, price of petrol increased by one sene to go up to $3.36 per litre from $3.35 per litre.
Diesel price fell by seven sene going down to $3.45 per litre from $3.52 per litre while the retail price of keresone is now $3.05 per litre from $3.08 per litre.
According to Fiame, the ongoing tension between Ukraine and Russia combined with the crisis in the Middle East has brought uncertainty surrounding the price of crude oil.
The new prices are now in effect.
