Two more top jobs in Government are up for grabs with contracts of the incumbent Chief Executive Officers nearing completion.

The Ministry of Public Enterprises has advertised the vacancy for C.E.O. positions for Samoa International Finance Authority (S.I.F.A) and Samoa Shipping Corporation (S.S.C.).

For S.I.F.A., all interested candidates have until the 31 March to make submissions for applications for the three-year contractual position.

At the helm of the Authority that is responsible for the regulation and supervision of Samoa's international financial center is Tuifaasisina Sieni Tualega-Voorwinden who was appointed in February 2020.

The Authority is looking for applicants who must have proven "competence in the regulation and supervision of international entities of international financial centers."

They are looking for someone with qualifications in law and or commerce and have at least eight years of experience in senior management of the public sector.

The appointment will be for a three-year term and commensurate with the salary package for C.E.O.s of Government Ministries and Public Bodies.

All applications that will be received after the deadline will not be considered.

For the C.E.O. of S.S.C. position, applicants have until 10 March to submit their applications.

The position is currently being held by Leiataua Samuel Phineas who was appointed in 2020. The position is also a three-year term.

Other top jobs that had been advertised by M.P.E. with recruitment processes currently underway for some include the C.E.O. for the Development Bank of Samoa, Samoa National Provident Fund, and Samoa Housing Corporation.

Last week, the Cabinet endorsed the appointment of two new C.E.O.s.

The Vice Chancellor for the National University of Samoa (N.U.S.), Tuifuisa'a Patila Amosa, and the reappointment of Moefa'auo Salale Moananu as the C.E.O. for Samoa Sports Facility Association (S.S.F.A.).
