The Ministry of Education Sports and Culture has advised students and parents that the provisional results for the 2022 National Assessments and Examination will be released later this month.

All school principals will have to make their way to the Ministry to pick up the results of their respective schools while students will be able to uplift their result slips from their schools.

The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) results for Year 13 will be released on Friday 20 January 2023 at the Ministry's Assessment and Exams Division at Malifa from 9am to 4pm.

Year 12 Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) results will be released on the following Friday 27 January 2023 while Year 10 will have to wait until next month to get their Samoa National Junior School Certificate (S.N.J.S.C.) results on Friday 3 February 2023.

The Ministry also advised that exam result recounts are available for a fee of $16 per subject for SSC and SSLC and $8 per subject for S.N.J.S.C.

The M.E.S.C. will also be carrying out review consultations of the primary school curriculum with primary school teachers in preparation for the new school year from Monday 23 January 2023.

Students will be happy to know that they will be able to return to school after a long and well deserved holiday from an eventful 2022. All primary and secondary schools will commence classes on Monday 6 February 2023 enabling pupils to continue their learning this academic year.

The return of the primary and secondary school students to classes from the first week of next month will mark the first time there has been no disruption to the start of the new school year, unlike early last year when a surge in Covid-19 cases that were imported into the country through returning residents led to State of Emergency (SoE) lockdowns and disruption to classes.
