Hundreds of people that crowded the arrival lounge at the Faleolo International Airport on Wednesday afternoon did not get a chance to meet or take photos with the sole and only Toa Samoa player that flew in on the Air New Zealand flight on Wednesday afternoon.

The crowd waited around even though the flight was delayed, only to find out that Chanel-Harris Tavita was the only player that came on the flight.

However, it was nothing compared to the crowd that turned up at the airport on Tuesday night when the rest of the players arrived way at 1 am.

Upon arrival, Tavita the Toa Samoa footballer who played as a five-eighth, halfback or fullback was escorted by police straight to the bus for him to be taken to where the rest of his teammates are staying at the Return to Paradise Resort in Lefaga.

There was a heavy police presence at the Faleolo airport and at the arrival lounge on Wednesday afternoon.

Martin Taupa'u and his wife were already in the country and are staying at Taumeasina Island Resort. They arrived on Monday, ahead of the team's arrival on Tuesday night.

The official programme for the boys will take place on Thursday with a special service at the Mulivai Cathedral, followed by the main parade starting from Vaisigano bridge to the Government building.

Samoa Police, Prisons and Correctional Services has already informed the general public that the roads from Vaisigano up to the Government building will be closed for three hours starting from 9 am on Thursday.

It has been confirmed that the team's management, coaches and the players will be walking from Vaisigano up to the government building.

They will be joined by their sponsors and partners.
