The Attorney General, Su’a Hellene Wallwork-Lamb and her management team, represented the Attorney General’s Office and celebrated Public Service Day last Friday with the Campus of Hope children.

The visit aligned well with the theme of the Public Service Day Service this year, which is "Spirit of Service" (Agaga Tautua’, Su’a) states a press release issued by the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG). The Campus of Hope comes under the auspices of the humanitarian organisation.

According to Su’a, part of the Attorney General’s role is to protect the children’s rights, especially those who have been abused not only in the homes, but also in the communities.

“The management of the Attorney General’s Office have therefore used the opportunity presented by the Public Service Day, to come and spend time with the children, and to acknowledge the work of Samoa Victim Support Group," Su'a said in the statement.

"The visit and the presentation of goods donated for the children is our way of letting SVSG know that we are thinking of the work that they are carrying out."

The children really enjoyed the time spent with the team from the Attorney General’s Office.

SVSG President Siliniu Lina Chang thanked the Attorney General and her office for including the children of the Campus of Hope in their celebrations.

“On behalf of the children of hope, thank you very much Su’a Hellene and the Office of the Attorney General for including the children in this special celebration for the public servants," Siliniu said.

“We hope your visit will encourage you and your team while pursuing justice for all the children whose rights have been violated.”
