Calling on warrior men and women

Dear Editor,

I enjoyed your editorial titled “Samoan corruption and palagi poverty.” It was a wonderful read.

How will we survive leaders who can ease the suffering of the people but choose luxury instead?

In service to the nation and in preservation of the children, who will walk in our footsteps, we must see with eyes sharper than any razor cleaving fact from fiction to preserve our traditional lands and resources for those unborn, unable to defend themselves.

Trusting that warrior men and women will arise to meet the challenges of future times, we, ourselves, will not shirk from hardship in our preservation of the vision of our ancestors that this land will belong to the Aiga forever guarded by us - the Guardians of the Fa'aSamoa.

Thank you for keeping the issue alive.
