Come on Samoa, show love!

Dear Editor,

To Love:Are Samoans really 98% Christian? If you are then you should give this passage a chance.

My Father always told me, ever since I was young, that we must all love one another. I cannot stress how many times he told me this everyday.

He would explain to me that this was Jesus’ last wish/commandment, before leaving this world.

If you could imagine a world where everyone loved one another, it’s hard to fathom. No one would hold any grudges or negative thoughts about each other. There’d be no wars, or crimes.

Yes, this does seem like an impossible and naive dream. We are all familiar with the idea that wherever there is good, there is also evil. No matter how pure we believe we are, there’s always impurity within us. We are all flawed, but that’s okay.

The Chinese believed in ‘Ying-Yang’. A balance between light and darkness, joy and sadness, happiness and anger.

However, I believe in deciding your own fate. Albert Einstein, once said that there is no such thing as darkness, just an absence of light. I also believe that there is no such thing as hate, just a lack of love. God did not create darkness. Just light. God did not create hate. Just love. He is our light. HE IS LOVE. That’s the reason why we’re here.To Love
