Customary land and passports

Dear Editor,

Thank you to those matai who are fighting for our customary lands.

My concern here is our government has bowed to pressure from international bankers and investors to have this law amended.

Well if the PM and his government cannot reject this pressure then they shouldn’t be in government.

This is the same as the issue with selling of Samoan Passports to the Chinese during Tofilau’s time and up to now the whole country has no idea where it’s gone to, what was the outcome and who was/were the culprit/s.

I am ashamed to be called Samoan when foreigners take possession of something our ancestors have fought for and that is our sovereignty and our land. Shame on you Tuilaepa and the whole H.R.P.P clan.
