Protecting heritage sites

Re: Govt’s plan alarms family

Any plans for the wharf will likely protect heritage sites in these villages.

Similar to the Vaitele Road project (and other projects) where extensive consultations with villages resulted in various ancestral sites, tombs, and important springs (water sources) protected.

All these matters will most certainly be brought up in consultations.

However, the truth is this wharf is quite a few years away. Therefore the official consultations on this project won’t start for at least 2-3 years in my opinion (I don’t actually know for sure as I am not involved in the project).
