Oh dear, so now we need to cross the t’s and dot the i’s? Which part of “insidious colonialism” needs clarification? 

Was Christianity part of Samoan culture before colonial powers invaded and settled Samoa? 

Ask yourselves to what extent Christian religion has negatively altered your own culture forever, too, not simply denounce current neocolonialist attitudes. 

These do exist, too, no one denies that, but they are not alone in subjecting Samoans to poverty. 

I daresay religious hierarchies deliberately inflict far more damage by keeping the young submissive and uneducated.
