A challenging issue
Re: Same sex marriage issue
Personally I have no qualms about gender equality and human rights shared by all in developed countries.
I just felt uncomfortable at how this would be embraced by the saofaiga a matai in respective villages and districts.
It can be a very challenging issue, I would think, albeit the tolerance levels shown often by the tofa loloto of the elderlies in other complex situations, that would likely to hold back discriminatory practices.
As this issue has reached some maturity in developed world, as a matai I believe it would be extremely hard in a village council, to accept such a wildly alien idea of ‘same-sex family unit’, but not impossible.
