Voters happy to pre-poll
Voters in the Vaimauga District were happy that they were able to be part of the pre-polling, which was without hassle, and many were glad not to wait in long queues.
The elderly, persons with disabilities and essential workers cast their votes on Wednesday.
Tupuola Lupematasila, 60, said she was very happy that she was able to pre-poll.
"Voting with a pure heart and peace is the key to a just and fair election," she said.
Ionatana Su'a, 58, gave the same reaction, saying he's thankful that pre-polling day was peaceful and nothing went wrong at Vaimauga No.3 Constituency.
"This is important, voting to contribute to electing our leaders, and it's up to the person who to vote for," Mr Su'a said.
"All glory to God that this day is calm and peaceful."
Sulu Fa'atali, 68, said he was thankful that he was able to pre-poll.
"Especially for us who have disability that we were able to vote first, thank God today is peaceful," he said.
One voter, Namulauulu Fuifatu, 70, said he was thankful that he was able to vote on pre-polling day and that it was peaceful. He said everything went fine on Wednesday morning.
"I'm glad that I have already voted, and I'm happy that I have a voice in choosing our leaders to lead Samoa in the next five years," he said.
All the votes cast on Wednesday will be known on Friday and will be counted together with the votes of more than 90,000 voters who will be casting their votes on Friday.
