Between the Lines

$60

A bus driver on a long trip told a passenger that he did not know how to give change when a $60 note was presented. The Independence Day note has not been seen so much lately. Hopefully, people do realise that it is still a legal tender.

PARK

The rundown park that used to be at Malaifatu is no longer there. The gift from New Zealand had deteriorated, and none of the government ministries wanted to spend money to fix what was once an area for children to play. Perhaps, our donor partners would build another one.

GRUDGE

GIFTS

The district grants can only be used for items highlighted in the guidelines. One district used its money to buy hampers for Mother’s Day. If grants can be used as handouts, gifts can be allowed as well.
