Head of State's powers under question

The constitutional obligations of the Head of State were heavily scrutinised in the Supreme Court on Monday during a heated debate about the legality of the Government-elect’s swearing-in ceremony.

New Zealand based leading lawyer for the Fa’atuatua ile Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.) party and counsel Benjamin Keith argued for why the ad-hoc swearing-in should be validated.
