Despite the bad weather, the show must go on for the Magic Circus of Samoa who are in Savaii to spread their unique brand of entertainment to the big island.

The Circus act is lead by Tupai Bruno Loyale, who says his inspiration comes from seeing the happy faces of the audience.

Tupai and his troupe arrived in Savaii a week ago and launched their big island tour in Salelologa, followed by Sapapalii.

Persistent bad weather had made their first week difficult but despite the heavy rainfall and strong winds, Tupai told the Samoa Observer on Saturday that he believes they faired well on Wednesday and Thursday.

He said he was happy to see people still attending their show in spite of the heavy rain.

He was adamant that the rain and wind would not stop their performances and shared his appreciation to the people of Savaii for showing their support.

The Magic Circus of Samoa village tour started last year in Upolu and according to Tupai they visited 15 villages, and plan to visit other villages as soon as they return from the big island.

The Sapapalii stop ended Saturday evening and the travelling entertainers will be moving on to Faga. Tupai expressed his gratitude to the Caffarelli family for all they have done to make their stopover in Faga easier, namely the set up of a water supply at the location for the circus.

According to Tupai, the Magic Circus of Samoa is possibly one of only a few circuses open in the world at this time and he is happy to have the opportunity to tour Samoa.

“Thanks to all these wonderful people, you know especially the sponsors because they really help us,” Tupai said.

He acknowledged his sponsors, Sai Motors, Apia Lua Limited, Betham Brothers Enterprises (B.B.E), and Vodafone for their support.
