Digicel launches wholesome Christmas campaign
Digicel has promised joyous Christmas season for their customers with some exciting promotions to make the festive season even more exciting.
On Wednesday, the company launched its Christmas campaign during a media session at Digicel's headquarters in Apia.
The telecommunication and digital operator revealed that the campaign consists of three main promotions which include customers winning a Toyota Hiace family van plus a share of cash prizes worth more than $100,000.
Chairman of Digicel Samoa, Pepe Christian Fruean, told the media that customers prefer cash prizes so they can spend it on the things they need.
“We asked our customers what they wanted and the results showed that more people wanted cash prizes to spend on things they needed," he said, adding that it is important they listen to their customers and grow with them.
"We tailor our products, services and promotions to meet their requests. This wholesome campaign gives every Digicel customer the chance to win."
Pepe also explained that with the world including Samoa facing a global pandemic, it has undeniably cemented the importance of digital and the need for customers to embrace the digital era.
"At Digicel, we understand this and as a digital operator, it is our responsibility to not only stay current, but to make that we put our customers first, making things simple for them while enjoying a first class digital experience.
"Our new suite of apps [applications] allow customers to experience that digital world at their fingertips and our newly revamped Prime Cheehoo bundles offers so much free data to try these apps. We encourage all our customers to give it a go and give us feedback.
"We have been growing with our customers since day one, and we will continue to grow with our customers as the world changes."
Pepe also thanked Digicel customers for their unwavering support and wished them a special and happy Christmas this year with their family and loved ones.
Any Digicel customer, whether they are prepaid, postpaid, Digicel TV or prepaid home internet customer is eligible for this promotion. Customers only need to spend $1 minimum on a plan to be in the draw to win weekly cash and the grand prize – a 15 seater Toyota Hiace family van. For every $1 spent, a customer gets one entry into the draw.
Prepaid customers can opt in to any plan to qualify on My Digicel app or *123# for their entries. For postpaid, Digicel TV and prepaid home internet customers, they automatically go into the draw when they pay their bills in full and on time, sign up or upgrade their current plans to gain entries.
The promotion also includes an additional $100,00 cash with weekly cash giveaways of $10,000 and over 200 winners in total winning $500 cash entry each. The promotion closes on 19, January 2021 with finale on 20th, January where the winner of the Toyota Hiace Van will be drawn. All eligible entries from 12, November 2020 to 19, January 2021 will be included for the final draw.
Shake to win a share of $150,000 in cash prizes on My Digicel app
Digicel remains unmatched in the market with the innovative “Shake” functionality on the My Digicel app. This Christmas season, Digicel is giving $150,000 worth of cash prizes for the “Shake to win” promotion.
Customers simply have to opt in or buy an eligible plan on the My Digicel App, activate the 'shake' function and start shaking their phones to reveal the prizes. Prepaid bundles for data, international minutes, as well as shopping vouchers and cash prizes are up for grabs for customers to win.
