The Tilafaiga team is ready and raring for their first match of the Lakapi Championship against Taema at the Apia Park Stadium on Friday, despite a juggling act between preparations and final school exams.

Manager and Assistant Coach, Seifono Misili, said the players are excited and they cannot wait for the occasion.

Misili is a former Manusina XV and 7s player and says they have done the best they can given the circumstances and what they had to work with.

"Fitness. We are mostly focusing on their fitness level," she said.

"We need to make sure they are fit throughout the whole match. It is the key to victory and a successful journey."

The team has also had to juggle preparations with some players who have final school examinations.

"For our players who are students, we already wrote letters to take to their schools, to inform them of the time these girls will have their training. However, that doesn't mean we're going to force them because we prioritize their education," she said.

"We are also aware that they have exams this week, and so we give way for them to study for their exams."

Manager Misili said they wish they had more time to train.

"They only trained for two days, so for me, it's not really enough time for them to train."

Tilafaiga's starting line up is yet to be confirmed.
