Samoa's newest political party, Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.), is asking for financial donations from businesses and members of the community to fund what it calls an "aggressive" campaign for next year's General Election.

A letter titled "2021 Election Campaign Fund- A71", signed by the party's Chairman, La'aulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt, Secretary, Va'aaoao Alofipo Va'a and Treasurer, Mulipola Anarosa Ale-Molio'o, has been circulated in the community rallying for support.

The purpose behind the party's request for financial assistance is "to explain" the party's policies "to the voters and the Samoan public."

The party's letter emphasises the ability for people to make online direct payments and, if they should wish, entirely anonymous donations.

The campaign, according to the letter, will include roadshows, village meetings with votes and a media campaign "in order to properly promote" F.A.S.T.'s "plans and policies."

An "Online Direct payment" system has also been set up for whoever is willing to make a donation.

"Other than cash or cheque payments, an Online Direct Payment system for donations will also be available on our website. All funds collected will be recorded and acknowledged. Otherwise, your contribution will remain anonymous should you so wish," the letter reads.

F.A.S.T. was officially registered on the 30th of July, 2020.

Their vision is: "To make Samoa a place where Samoan Citizen has equal opportunities in economic growth, have strong public services to support every Samoan citizen, Samoan culture and customs are recognised and valued, quality education is accessible to every Samoan citizen, public confidence in Samoan healthcare, and every Samoan enjoys a free, peaceful and safe country."
