McDonalds runs out of chicken nuggets
Samoa's only McDonalds restaurant has confirmed that they've run out of chicken nuggets stock due to problems with a shipping service.
A Manager of the restaurant, John Ioane, confirmed the shortage in their supplies in a telephone interview with the Samoa Observer.
"As of now the shipment that was supposed to bring over our supplies broke down hence why we are short on some of our stock," he said.
Customers who walked into the restaurant on Sunday afternoon hoping for a meal were left disappointed due as the restaurant staff could not take their orders.
One customer Tony Tumua said he hoped the restaurant can be able to resolve the issue soon.
"Honestly, I always bring my family here for lunch on Sundays, unfortunately today we were told that they were out of nuggets but my youngest daughter always orders nuggets," he said. "I just hope they resolve their issue as soon as possible because they are the only McDonalds here in Samoa."
He said his daughter, who loves the restaurant's nuggets, threw a tantrum when she didn't get her order.
The company posted on its Facebook page on Saturday to advise local customers of the problems with a shipping service.
"Due to the Cargo boat Cap v942 breakdown, we are running low on products, we are awaiting airfreight but due to restrictions of airlines, our cargo did not arrive as planned yesterday. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding as we work on resolving this matter."
The McDonalds management assured their customers that they are doing everything within their means to resolve the issue.
