The Samoa Meteorological Service has forecast only slight rain and fine weather over the next two days.

The scientific officer at the service, Silipa Mulitalo, told the Samoa Observer that their projections for Wednesday and Thursday this week is slight rain and then fine weather for two days.

“Generally fine weather for Samoa for today and tomorrow. There are brief showers expected over the country from late morning towards the afternoon but will be mainly over highlands and central parts of both Upolu and Savaii,” he said.

“A chance of showers for Apia today and tomorrow but should clear off by the evening.”

The country’s cyclone season started November last year but Mr Mulitalo assured the public that there is nothing to be worried about.

“There are currently no warning or advisory in effect for Samoa”, he said.

With the country not experiencing extreme weather conditions in recent weeks, Mr Mulitalo said it is their hope that the weather will not change this month.

“For today and tomorrow it will be fine weather for Samoa,” he added.
