Just right. Those two words sum up the experience of an Australian family that spent five days in Samoa and are going home to tell their friends and family to visit the island paradise.

Rebecca and Rob Jay saw and advertisement about Samoa in an Australian newspaper and they decided to bring their children, Lucas and Annalise.

It’s decision they will not regret.

“There is a travel agent online back home called My Holiday Center,” said Rebecca. “They do my Fiji, my Cook Island and My Samoa so I thought that we should just try something new.”

And they did. They are guests at Taumeasina Island Resort but they have been all over Samoa.

“It was a really nice time we had here in Samoa. We went to the To Sua trench, the Papaseea sliding rocks, and other beaches,” said Rebecca.

They also visited the big island of Savaii for a day.

“We went to where the turtles are and the kids fed them.”

The only unfriendly thing that happened was Lucas’ experience with a turtle which reacted when they were being fed.

“But they enjoyed feeding them,” she said, adding that it was the experience of a lifetime swimming in waterfalls and visiting so many sights in Samoa.

“It was great just to sit in the water and watch our two kids jumping in the small waterfall. It was also most interesting at the To Sua Trench.”

Young Lucas loved the snorkeling.

“I like snorkeling in the water, and fishing. We caught a fish. I also like jumping in the waterfall and climbing the ladders at the trench where I saw a crab.”

Rebecca and Rob Jay have already been to Fiji and the Cook Islands but they might have a new favourite spot after this trip.

Rob said he found Savai’i most amazing and he would like to spend more time there.

“I will tell people to come here,” he said. “It is just beautiful because here it’s the right place just to relax and have a great holiday.”

Rebecca works as a lawyer. Rob works in the construction industry.
