Men pulled from burning car after Vailoa crash
An car crash in the early hours of Friday morning at Vailoa left two men, once unconscious, pulled from a burning wreck and with major injuries.
Lotomau Fuimaono was one of the first people to arrive at the scene.
Mr. Fuimaono said they arrived to see a white Hyundai Getz was on fire.
“My friends and I quickly tried our best to pull out the two people involved in the crash which were two males,” he said.
“Both passengers were severely injured with only one conscious and able to speak while the other was not.
“We left the matter into the hands of the proper authorities; a fire truck arrived at the scene first.”
The condition of the men has not yet been confirmed by the Samoa Observer, which has contacted Police and and Fire and Rescue Samoa for comment.
Reports on social media about the accident have not been able to be independently verified.
