Deja v-U.S.A: Last-second penalty sinks Manu Samoa (again)

A last-second penalty has once again consigned Manu Samoa to a loss against the U.S.A. Eagles, who went down 10-13 at ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Last November it was Will Hooley who broke Samoan hearts, and this time first five AJ MacGinty struck the winning three pointer with the last act of the game.

However the Manu may be feeling aggrieved after a wrongly disallowed Johnny Vaili try denied them a halftime lead.

The loss is Samoa's second in a row against U.S.A., and a real blow as they head into the final Pacific Nations Cup match against Fiji next week.

Samoa 10 (Leiua tries; Alatimu 1/1 con, Taefu 1/1 pen)
U.S.A. 13 (MacGinty tries; MacGinty 2/2 pen, 1/1 con)
HT: 7-10
