Vaitele Sama taxi-stand owner, Maiava Grey, is going to the next level in his bid to attract more customers.

All his drivers have been kitted with blue alo’a to enable them to attract and impress potential customers.

Speaking to the Samoa Observer, he said improving customer service is the inspiration behind his decision to get the new uniforms.

“So many cruises coming into Samoa filled with tourists and we need to impress our visitors from overseas and with our duty to transport passengers, we need to make our taxi industry look good,” he said.

The Vaitele Sama taxi-stand comprises 30 taxi drivers who operate 24 hours and seven-days-a-week.

“I believe that is the goal of this new uniform, adding onto our other collection of uniforms for each day, is to attract more customers and recognize our stand by standing out for being well dressed and cleanliness in vehicles,” he added.

Mr. Grey said he believes in having a complete set of uniforms every day, which would attract customers and compel them to flag them down. This then translates to the taxi service generating more income.

The Vaitele Sama taxi-stand is located at Vaitele Tai, in front of Farmer Joes, and across the road from Bluebird Hardware store.
