What the pastor can do

Dear Editor,

If a pastor can afford to go golfing on a Sunday, he can surely afford to go seek these children and families peddling on the streets and try to help them out. There are sick people in the hospital.

Just in Wednesday’s paper, a woman with a 12-year-old son with a heart problem is asking for help. The pastor should be consoling this woman and her family and help find a way to get him his treatment.

He chose to be a pastor. If the tithing doesn't meet all his needs and his family’s and he's forced to seek employment outside of pastoring, fine, then all his waking moments after his job and caring for his family is doing God's work.

Or he can choose to find another line of work.

He doesn't have to be single like the Catholics.
