Bible College graduates ready for the next step
The Nazarene Church at Ululoloa had many reasons to celebrate when three students of its Bible College graduated, indicating they are ready for the next step in their journey.
It was a moment of joy for family and friends of Peneueta Peneueta, Tavita Aneti and Tipolo Semau as they walked up to receive their certificates.
Pastor Talomua said the graduation is the culmination of three years of hard work.
“This graduation is an annual event for the church,” he told the Samoa Observer.
“It is for those who have finished their theological diploma and certificates. It is also a way to get the graduates ready to become pastors of the church. The graduation is all about completion of the third year at the bible college.”
Although only three students graduated, this didn’t nullify all the excitement radiating from the church compound.
Pastor Talomua’s message for the graduates is to always rely on the Lords guidance in whatever they do.
“Only three students graduated this time around,” he said.
“My motivational message to the graduates is to seek God for what he really wants you to do. There is a difference between knowing and doing something for God.
“These graduates have to seek what God wants them to do because many graduates just come and wait for the church to assign them to something.
“But according to my understanding, they have to ask God to fit them into a task where their gifts will flourish.”
Furthermore, Pastor Talomua joyfully congratulated the graduates and wished them all the best with their journey.
“Not everyone will become pastors and not everyone will become evangelists,” he said.
“There are different callings. But yes, I would like to congratulate all those who have graduated today and it is my prayer that all the young people will complete the mission that God wants for them.
“I want the young to use their lives wisely while they have time.”
