Man on sexual assault charge enters plea
A man has entered a not guilty plea for sexual assault and the use of insulting words targeting two girls.
A man of Fasito’o Uta appeared for criminal mention before Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu in the Supreme Court yesterday.
The 56-year-old man didn’t have a lawyer and represented himself in Court.
Lawyer Leone Su’a Mailo represented the prosecution.
One of the two victims was present during yesterday’s Court proceedings.
The Chief Justice adjourned the matter to 10.00am July 8-9 this year, with the defendant expected to find a lawyer by then, along with witnesses to support his not guilty plea.
