Samoa Airways has responded to strong demand for travel during the festive season by operating extra flights.

Chief Executive Officer, Tupuivao Seiuli Tuala, said the Airline was pleased to have been able to cater for the demand by the travelling public.

“The demand for travel to Samoa during this time of the year is traditionally very strong and in response, the national carrier has operated a number of additional services,” he said.

“Christmas is about family and we are thrilled to have played a key role in uniting loved ones this Festive Season.”

In addition to daily flights from Auckland, the National Carrier has operated five extra flights from the City of Sails, as well as one extra service from Sydney (in addition to its two-weekly flights), and two charter flights from Brisbane.

Demand on the Pago Pago-Fagalii route, where the Airline’s fleet of Twin-Otter aircraft operate up to 18 flights daily, has also been very strong.

Samoa Airways reminds customers to allow sufficient time to check-in and prepare for departure.
