Church opens $250,000 project

The Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (C.C.C.S) at Matautu Falelatai opened the gate to their $250,000 fence project last Saturday.

The opening was well attended by many and special guests including the member of the Council of Deputies, Tuimalealiifano Va’aletoa Sualauvi II and his Good Lady Faamausili Tuimalealiifano.

The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Laauli Leuatea Polataivao, C.E.O of E.P.C, Tologata Tile Tuimalealiifano and the C.E.O of the Ministry of Health, Leausa Dr. Take Naseri were present.

Rev. Tautiaga Senara conducted the service while the Minister of Agriculture cut the ribbon.

“We are here to open one of the churches’ milestones,” said Rev. Tautiaga.

“God did not create us to sit around but to work and live happy, that is our identity from God to look after.

“This is the work that the Church and everyone have been working hard for and so now it has been completed and we should give God the praise and glory.”

The Chairman of the Church and the village, Anae Misa Anae, said the project was carried out by Webster Construction within three months.

“It wasn’t an easy project but we acknowledge the help from the head of the carpenters, Misa Leslie Jr. and his wife Ana and everyone that lent a hand to this project.”

He also acknowledges the members of the church for a job well done.
