Heathcote family vow to return

The Heathcote family from Wellington, New Zealand, have found holiday heaven.

Staying at Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey‘s Hotel, they have loved every moment of their time from when they arrived last Saturday.

Shelley said Samoa has so much to offer.

“Despite the weather me and my family are enjoying this vacation,” she told the Dear Tourist.

“We first wanted to go somewhere that was reasonably priced. We have never been here before because we have been to Rarotonga and Fiji and so Samoa was our choice.”

In Samoa, there is a lot to like.

“It’s good despite the hot weather, the people are really friendly and we are having a good time.

“We are staying at the Sheraton Hotel and the people are very good and friendly. We love it there.”

But with anything in life, there can always be improvements.

Mrs. Heathcote wants to share them with a genuine interest to improve Samoa’s tourism industry.

“It’s nothing major but just some things that need to be improved like the service is a bit slow,” she said.

“I suppose we are used to when we want something we want it now but you know it’s the small things that matter especially with tourists.

“Another thing that Samoa needs is to have more signs posts because we were looking for the sliding rocks and we couldn’t find it. So those little things need to be improved but all in all, it has been a fantastic vacation so far.”

They have loved everything from the food to the local beers.

“We’ve had local beer like the Vailima and it’s nice and light,” said Mr. Heathcote.

“We went out to Tafua Fales and spent the night there so it was amazing even though the weather was not good but we had fun and the girls are enjoying themselves.

“My parents came last year and they came with my nephew who is a rugby player and so they really rated it as well so it was amazing.

“We’ve had the coconut cream desert and it was nice, people are so creative and that’s what we like.

“We will definitely recommend Samoa to our families and friends back home and we will be back.”
