Sex charges follow girl’s disappearance
The Ministry of Police has filed sexual related charges against a 31-year-old man.
This is in connection to the case of the 15-year-old girl who was reported missing for three days.
The man is facing charges of sexual connection and was remanded at liberty to appear in the Supreme Court next month.
This was confirmed by Police Superintendent, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo.
He declined to comment on the details of the case.
However the Samoa Observer understands the defendant’s wife is the victim’s friend.
According to a public notice issued by the Police, the victim was missing for three days and was found on Saturday night.
“She is safe and she is now referred to our Sexual Investigation Unit for usual police processes."
“We thank family members who notified Police of her whereabouts last night (Saturday).”
