CONGRATULATIONS: Seuamuli Saolotoga Peti receiving his trophy from the Minister of Public Entrerprises, Hon Lautafi Fio Purcell and other awards after being named the Sales Person of the Year 2015 on Friday night at the Treasure Garden Restaurant.

Seuamuli Saolotoga Peti is Samoa Life Assurance Corporation Sales Person of the Year 2015.

The announcement was made on Friday night during the Corporation’s Sales Team dinner held at the Treasure Garden Restaurant.  The team had set a target of $924,000 and Seuamuli contributed $200,000, making him the top sales person for the year.

Minister of Public Enterprises, Hon Lautafi Fio Purcell, congratulated Seuamuli as well as the Sales Team.

“You have reaped what you have sown and you have achieved the highest award any agent can wish for,” he said. “You have done this through sheer dedication and commitment, “Malo le tauivi, Malo le galue.”

“To the rest of the sales team your time will come and never give up.

“I urge you to continue with the wonderful work that you are doing and whenever you feel like giving up remember this, ‘Many people who have failed and have given up are those who didn’t realize how close they were to succeeding.’

“So as we celebrate your success in 2015 let us ponder about 2016 and hope that it will be a year of greater results and achievements, more successful stories and another year of celebration this time next year.”

Lautafi also said that being a sales person is no easy job; it comes with obstacles and barriers that will stand in their way.

However he said the challenge is not in what they do when facing those obstacles but its how they do it. “How can I overcome this challenge? What different way can I do to ensure success?

“In the words of Thomas Edison, “Our greatest weaknesses rise in giving up, the most certain ways to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

I will leave you with a famous quote by Jeffrey Gitomer, “Obstacles can’t stop you. Problems can’t stop you.  Most of all, other people can’t stop you. Only you can stop you.”
