HELPING SAMOA: Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi with members of the Samoa Offering Hope Taskforce.

A “Memorandum of Association” for the ‘Samoa Offering Hope’ taskforce has been signed with the blessings of Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi. 

The Taskforce sees the Samoa Hotel Association (S.H.A) joining forces with chartered accounting firm Betham & Company, and the local banks to offer hope to registered vendors affected by the recent Flea Market fire in Apia.

During the signing, Prime Minister Tuilaepa acknowledged the commitment by the group to help the small business owners.

The taskforce trustees for the administration and distribution is Adele Kruse, President of the Samoa Hotel Association, Taimalie Ernest Betham Managing Director Betham and Company Chartered Accountants and Fiona Ey of Clarke Ey Lawyers. 

The programme will run for 30 days and the countdown commenced on the 28 January 2016. 

A final report with full disclosure will be published in the local newspapers.
