The title should be “Corruption the greatest danger for development”

This is the reason why citizens of donor countries are so bemused by the continual support going to countries in the Pacific like Samoa.

Mismanagement and bad management of these foreign aid and development assistances mean that foreign donors will have to make a long term commitment to support countries like Samoa. 

Millions of dollars are given to Samoa by foreign donors every year and the majority is lost through corrupt practices by government officials. 

It’s about time donor countries demand more accountability and responsibility from Samoa.
