Otago University plans special event in Apia

The strong, ongoing and mutually rewarding relationship between the University of Otago, its alumni, and the Pacific region will be celebrated at a special luncheon in Apia this Saturday.

At the luncheon, the new University of Otago Samoan Alumni Chapter will be announced 

The University of Otago delegation to Samoa for the event, and other engagements, will be led by Otago Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) Professor Helen Nicholson. 

The event will also celebrate the significant contribution Otago graduates and students have made in the region; the guest list will include prominent politicians, business people, healthcare workers, church and community leaders and current students.  

University of Otago Pacific Islands Centre Manager Tofilau Nina Kirifi-Alai will be master of ceremonies.  

The event will be held at the Harbourside Room, Sheraton Samoa Aggie Greys Hotel and Bungalows.
