The Cyclone Gita response by Electric Power Corporation (E.P.C.), and Samoa Water Authority (S.W.A.) ground crews was acknowledged Friday evening at the Ooh la la Ice Cream Bar at Matautu.

Organised by Siva Afi owners Leota Lene Leota and Clare Leota, the thank you dinner and show brought together a group of businesses, which shared the Leota’s passion to acknowledge the response by the two government agencies to effectively to restore water and power to residents in the wake of Cyclone Gita.

“Many of these public servants were on the ground restoring water and power even though their families had also sustained damages to their homes and personal properties by Cyclone Gita,” said Leota.

“Considering the swift response by E.P.C. and S.W.A., they deserve recognition and appreciation.”

Leota says that the business advocates who supported the Dinner and Show event Friday evening were all receptive to the idea to put their resources together for the event to become a reality.

“It’s a united effort with Siva Afi and EMD taking the lead to organise the Dinner and Show.   It’s the least that we can do and again a huge faafetai, faafetai, faafetai tele lava to EPC and SWA but mostly to our business sponsors.”

The Businesses include; Vailima Breweries, Liquor Planet, Ah Liki Wholesale, Apia Fish Exporters, Samoa Meat Supplies, Seafood Gourmet, EMD, WT Media
