That spirit of competition

Dear Editor,

Re: Why the delay in Church project

What has happened here is that the Catholics built that huge church in Mulivai, Apia. The Mormons built their massive temple at Pesega. The Methodists built their huge church at Faleula, the SISDAC have built their huge golden church at Saleufi, and the Worship Centre have opened their church at wherever they built their one.

The EFKS not wanting to fall behind, decided to build their grand edifice at Malua and in so doing replace a perfectly fine and historic 120 year old Jubilee church, which should have been heritage protected.

If we had this spirit of competition in the economic field, Samoa would be a first world country by now.
