Izzy’s Take Out Eat In is the home of the famous Texas Burger.

Chef and owner, Friedrich J. Kruse is the master chef behind the tower and super stacked burger filled with a juicy beef patty, sizzling bacon, fresh lettuce and melted cheese and the unimaginable amount of onion rings stacked on top of all that goodness and laced with just the right amount of BBQ sauce.

Izzy’s was first established in 2013 and was a pipeline dream for owner Friedrich Kruse. Kruse spent four years learning at the Culinary Arts based in Hawaii, and worked every position imaginable in the kitchen from the dishwasher to the self owned business man he is now.

After spending 7 years away from his island home of Samoa, Kruse made the decision to finally move back and share his knowledge, skills and talent with the local and overseas visitors.

Izzy’s is named after Kruse’s first born daughter who he says was the reason he was so focused and determined to do well as she is the beacon to why he pushes through in life.

And since its establishment, Kruse has managed to do just that by providing Samoa with a variety of options to choose from his diner-like menu such as their all day breakfasts, gourmet burgers, freshly made salads, home made baked goods, smoothies and more.

Popular and signature dishes amongst Izzy’s valued customers range from their fresh Papaya Fish or Pineapple Chicken Salads to their Hawaiian Burgers and homemade donuts. Kruse’s donut is a unique combination of a Hawaiin sweet treat donut known as the ‘malasala’ and a German Bun, which Kruse’s ancestoral family were infamous for.

With this crossbreed of treats, the Izzy’s donuts were a sure win hit with customers with rave reviews on travelling site, Trip Advisor. Future plans for the eatery is to relocate and expand to accommodate more guests, as well as an inclusion of an outside area.

The decision to move is another pipeline dream that will soon happen in the next 5 months, and with that will come the reintroduction of some local favorites.

Izzy’s Pancake Challenge will make a come back where they challenge anyone to eat the reigning champ amount of 18 pancakes eaten.

They offer a $15 all you can eat pancake special, but if the record of 18 is broken the meal is free.

Meals range from their $2 donuts to $20 amongst the other selections.

The specials available at Izzy’s allows Kruse to get creative and with one of their popular Specials, the Stui Special, you can get a coconut fish burger with your choice of ulu, banana or taro chip served with an ice cold niu (coconut) for just $20.

Izzy’s also offers catering services as well as hosts for any special occasion.

They support local businesses with most of their produce and bake all of their buns, cinnamon rolls, donuts and muffins fresh served with a brewed NZ bean cuppa.

And for those quick pick me ups, Izzy’s has the perfect ‘Bun on the Run’ Special for $4 with a freshly baked bun, eggs and cheese.

This friendly, family oriented and cozy eatery have a staff taught with the skills Kruse gained through his culinary experience, and a passion for literacy with the inclusion of their reading corner that has the latest magazines, local newspapers, and variety of novels for guest indulgence.

Books are there for guest to enjoy while having a light meal or to purchase, there is even a trade in policy where they welcome any book donations.
