Toa, your father is a good man

Dear Editor,

Re: Father risks being stood down from church

Toa your father sounds like a good sincere man.

He stands by you because he is a father, even in spite of the fact it might cost him his job. If you believe this is your mission from God, who are we to dispute it?

So far you’ve said only one right thing since your story was revealed..... “God didn’t say which religion was true and which was not, there is only one church before God and that involves people who believe in him.”

Now after you’ve made this statement, isn’t it a bit hypocritical for you to change religion to continue your “mission from God?”

Your actions contradict your words.

My question to you, Toa is, if your faith and belief is so strong why change to Catholic? If you believe God with all your heart and might then you should also know that no matter where you perform your mission, God is with you....IF, it is His Will for you.

God does not mention the word religion.

It’s man made to control it’s people and create a hierarchy to keep themselves above you and I.

Organized religion are rife with rituals and the Catholic church is the leader when it comes to rituals. There are no mentions of these rituals in the Bible.. You should only concern yourself with one ritual....Prayer. That’s God’s ritual.

And even with prayer he instructed us not to make rituals when praying. Here’s what Jesus said about prayer:

......”and when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their MANY WORDS. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask of him.”

Then Jesus gave us a SIMPLE prayer, The Lord’s Prayer, which covers all, 1) thanking, 2) asking 3) forgiving. That’s how simple it is. You leave the heavy lifting and complicated stuff to Him. How simple his message. to ALL of us, worship him with all your heart, mind and soul and to love one another because love covers all other commandments.

Stop announcing and advertising your “mission from God.” If you’re so fortunate and blessed to be chosen by God for a mission, you don’t go advertising it....YOU DO IT WITH HUMILITY.

Read your Bible it goes in length about being humble in ALL that you do!

Let me strongly recommend you spend more time with your father talking about the Bible and Jesus. You might learn a few things about “the word” from him.

He appears to be a sound and faithful man. You are better served helping your dad to spread the word at home, in your village....Now that’s a worthy mission......from God.

By the way, what event took place on the 18th of December? If I recall correctly it was a date something was to occur. I think ZsaZsa Gabor died and there was a terrorist attack in Jordan....unless I missed something significant......Maybe?
