What changes in the police ministry are needed?

The Police Commissioner, Fuiavailili Egon Keil has finally returned to work following a long suspension  and an appearance  in court. Now that he’s resumed his position, Sina Filifilia Sevaaetasi hit the streets of Apia asking the question “Is there a need to have changes in the police force?”

I think the only change that we need to see in the Ministry of Police is to clear all other assistants’ commissioners. We can see that most of them (assistants) are doing nothing and I think that’s why too many dramas in the ministry. They don’t  know the right commissioner to listen to.

Soma Soma, 32, Apia

I don’t have much to say now. If the government has reinstated Police Commissioner then I think that’s better for Samoa. The Ministry should cut down most of the positions in the Ministry because most of them are doing nothing. Good on you Fuaivailili!

Yes, there are lot of changes that we need make to improve the ministry. The Police Commissioner should be the only person who oversees the ministry. Let other assistants  become senior officers, I think that’s the only way that will give them more time to work on the roads and other work.

I’ve heard a lot about the Ministry of Police, I think this is the right time to make things straight. We need changes as well within the Ministry for a better Samoa tomorrow.

I think the only thing that we need is for everyone to stay in peace. I want to congratulate Fuiavailili on his new role.

Malo lava!
