A man's body was discovered at Sapapali’i last week.
Police Media Spokesperson, Superintendent Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo told the Samoa Observer he was found dead on the side of the access road (auala galue) of the village.
Police identified the deceased as a young man.
“There were no bruises on his body,” Auapa’au said.
“His body is now at Tuasivi hospital.”
Village Mayor of Sapapali’i, Foluena Mapu, confirmed the young man was from their village.
“He went to feed the cows but people found him dead on the side of the road,” Foulena said.
“He has asthma, but we are not so sure the cause of death.”
Foluena said the young man was a hard working person.
“This is what he does to serve and help his family.
“He’s loved by his family and people of our village. We are obviously very shocked and sad about what has happened and we hope the Police can identify what happened to him.
“Our condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace.”
