Cars, taxation and fees

Dear Editor,

Re: Timely warning for vehicles in Samoa

It’s not the Samoan people’s fault, everyone jumps at the opportunity of owning a car when that door opens for cheaper cars from Japan, not knowing and remembering those are most of the vehicles floating and swimming around the country during the tsunami.

The government should have put in regulation and standard of required conditions.

But they didn’t. Why? I guess they were only interested on collecting taxation fees and tips from buyers.

Furthermore let people enjoy their purchased cars.

When they can’t pay for repairs, at least they’re satisfied. Just like you government enjoying driving around freely in government cars paid and furnished by peoples money.
