Manu Sevens falter to South Africa

After an amazing pool play where Manu Samoa conquered Fiji, Australia and drew to Russia; the men in blue finally made it to the cup quarter finals where they faced tough opposition to South Africa. 

The Manu fell to the Springboks, 0-12. 

From there Samoa was relegated to fight for fifth place against the U.S.A. Eagles, where Samoa loss with final score of 24-19.  

Samoa Toloa was the first to put points on the board in extra time in the first half. After being successfully converted by Alatasi Tupou, the score was 19-7 at half. 

Back from half, Samoa Toloa put another one on the board followed up by a successful conversion by Alatasi Tupou.  Francis Ieremia crossed the try line for another try for Samoa but it would be the last for the men in blue.
