A businessman has pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm before the District Court.

Fiu Gasologa Foloki, the owner of the N and C Bonus at Vailoa, appeared before Judge Fepulea’i Ameperosa Roma on Tuesday.

Lawyer Iliganoa Atoa said the matter was called for mention and for the defense lawyer, Aumua Ming Leung Wai to file an application to dismiss the charge against Fiu.

Aumua instead informed the Court his client wished to enter a plea to the charge against him. He then pleaded guilty to the charge of having an unlicensed firearm.

This matter has been adjourned for sentence on 24 October 2016.
