So I was talking to a friend the other day about his new career in the field of music.
He's what you would call a DJ, and I reckon he's a pretty good one. Mind you, this is coming from someone who's not a big fan of the techno genre (at all) so he really caught my attention.
Based on the mix tapes I've heard and his outgoing personality, he's amassed for himself an impressive Facebook and Instagram fan-base. Because unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, everything these days is judged by how many likes or followers you have on social media - DUH.
DJ LATU (aka Josh) is a London born Samoan residing in Auckland, New Zealand.
A few years ago, he was picked up by the 'sound of the underground'. An obscure website in the back corners of the internet, that only those in the industry or those with the absolute 'know how' have the ability to access.
In a short amount of time, DJ LATU rose to the mainstream media in New Zealand. He is sought after to play in clubs and gigs that boast crowds well past the 200-500 mark.
These crowds consist mainly of those between the age of 18 - 28. The rambunctious individuals congregate around his electronic, house and techno style and party like there's no tomorrow. And as if that isn't impressive enough... Do you know about most notable achievement to date?
