Many people, especially women, would have had a chuckle at an opinion piece in the Sunday Samoan commenting on our P.M.’s exhortation that we need more babies. As well as Bronnie suggesting he have them himself, she spoke for over half the population when she said,
“These tedious old men and their tyrannical impositions on women's bodies.
And, may we add, this is the third census taken when 10 people we know, were not counted so accuracy is obviously an issue.
It seems as though the census gathering and resultant figures are as reliable as the first lot of exam results coming out of M.E.S.C.
And yet we have all this technology?
Who knows? We may well have a real population of over 200,000?
It seems we may never know.
In the meantime, how about government ensuring employment is available for the present youth who are idle before urging a population explosion upon us?
