Stay in Season

Think a minute… Have you eaten a fruit “out of season”? It does not taste nearly as sweet and good as a ripe one “in season”! It is so true: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose.” In life, it is vitally important to “stay in season” so that you are doing the right thing at the right time.

A wise man said: “Hell is seeing the truth too late, and not doing what is right soon enough.” The famous writer, Victor Hugo, observed: “There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.”  Timing is everything!

Every season in life is important and necessary, starting with the season of preparing.

This is the time when you are laying the true, solid foundation on which to build your life and future. This includes building close, right relationships, developing your good character, conscience and values that will guide you throughout your lifetime.

This is also when you are getting your education and training. Remember, use today’s opportunities to build your opportunities for tomorrow.

The next season in life is the time of planting. This means daily, hard work.

After you have prepared and planned, you must work your plan, or it won’t work. There is no substitute for hard, honest work in building the life you want. But you must be patient and willing to work for years before your plan can start working to bring all the results that you aim and hope for.

Finally, after your years of working hard, working smart, and

working honestly, you can start enjoying the results and rewards in the right time.

This is the season of profiting, similar to the harvest that farmers get after patiently planting and caring for their land and crops. Sadly, too many people quit before this time, so they never enjoy the fruits of success, because they did not understand the seasons of life and what season they were in.

We all need help in knowing when and what we should do, along with the willpower to “just do it”—and continue doing it all the way to completion. This is why we must first get right with our Creator.

He naturally is the only One who can help you “stay in season” with life the way He made it to work correctly. So if Jesus is the way, why waste any more of your time going another way? Sincerely ask Him to forgive you.

Then ask Him to take full charge of your heart, relationships and way of living every day.

He will help you “stay in season” as you “stay in step” with Him. Just think a minute…
