The Marist Sevens tournament is a very nice tournament because it helps our young people market their talent and make it known. It could also be an opportunity for the boys to be chosen to represent our nations team which is now an embarrassment.

Soonalote Lafoga, 52, Tiavea

The tournament hosted by the Marist is a good call. I take my hat off to the Marist for hosting such a tournament. Knowing what's happened to our Manu Samoa, I think the Manu Samoa Sevens should try and choose the kids who played in the Marist Sevens. Watching them play on the field is just fantastic.

Tau Fiaiai, 56, Vaivase

For me in relation to the Marist Sevens tournament, it is such a wonderful tournament but I just hope that the local players from that tournament are chosen to represent our country in the Sevens. And I have a request that the current coach of Manu Samoa is removed because by the look of things he is not doing his job at all.

Fetalai Pati, 50, Salailua

Rugby is very important for our country because it's the sport that most people adore. Some kids are not smart but they rely on their talent so that they can have a better future. With the Sevens tournament hosted by the Marist I am very grateful for it. The tournament is a great place for our young ones to develop their talents.

Faaolo Utumapu, 43, Vaitele Uta

It's a great platform to promote the talent of local rugby players, hats off to the Marist for being able to pull it off every year in spite of the weather. I wish we had the resources to host a local tournament of this nature.
