Elite separate themselves as Super 9 finals approach

With three weeks left in the P.P.S. Super 9 round robin, the semifinalists for the Senior A competition appear close to decided.

The Eels, Chiefs, Navigators and Vikings have all accumulated over 20 competition points, with their closest rivals the Faleata Knights ten behind on 11.

There will be plenty of jostling for position at the top over the last few rounds though, with the first and second-placed Eels and Chiefs matching up next week, and the Vikings in fourth holding a game in hand over all the teams above them.

Eels fullback Malu Falaniko is the competition's leading points scorer with 91, well ahead of Chiefs second five Joyner Key on 67.

Falaniko's five tries are also the most in Senior A Super 9, with Chiefs wing Larry Mitivao on four.
