Argentina has relinquished a home game in the Rugby Championship in order to play Australia at Twickenham on Oct. 8.

England's Rugby Football Union released a statement Tuesday confirming a rematch between the Wallabies and Pumas a year after the Australians won a World Cup semifinal against Argentina at the same venue.

Carlos Araujo, president of the Argentine rugby union, says: "We will be bringing all the history of our rugby and Southern Hemisphere, with the Wallabies, to the Northern Hemisphere in an unprecedented move."

It will be the first Rugby Championship test played outside of Australia, Argentina, South Africa or New Zealand.

Australia won the 2015 Rugby Championship, ending New Zealand's three-year run of titles, but subsequently lost to the All Blacks in the World Cup final.
